巴黎阿德爾拍賣行的粉紅色抽象風景畫
巴黎阿爾德拍賣行(Ader Auction)將於2017年12月6日的拍賣會中，拍賣一幅曾海文的粉紅色抽象風景畫。
此幅作品，與曾氏很多其他作品一樣，是一幅風景畫，也是中國畫當中的重要主題；但此作品展示了曾氏繪畫生涯中決定性的過渡時期：從重現現實，過渡到自然寫意、流動。
曾海文無意模仿宋代名家或復興中國畫，他只是致力表達他的情感；對這位居於西方的道家追隨者對來說，那情感就像秘密一樣充滿力量。那些山嶽既是無可忽視的視點，也同時完全融入背景之中：一道紅色的暮光，瞬間與永恆相遇。主題是靜默；是那頃刻的詩化展現：那是如此安靜，我獨坐著 — 等待著《日落 (Evenfall)》。
跟他那些呈現塞尚、特納、高更精粹的畫作一樣，是直接向西方進行致敬，也同時一直保持著他作為中國人的一顆心和一雙眼睛。此同時深受東方與西方影響的滿布畫面的繪畫風格 全方位繪畫風格，已顯示出他對水的渴望，並將他引領回水墨的世界；同時他亦有如在其他作品一樣，以大氣透視法為主宰，探索那垂直的空間。
此作品表達的情感與筆觸同樣是迅速的，捕捉了那一瞬間。曾氏在那個黃昏，聽著音樂快速地繪畫。
